The Committee submits a report on its activities to the Storting every year. These reports are unclassified and shall be available to the public.

Prior to submitting the report to the Storting, the Committee verifies that the requirements for releasing this document without classified information have been met, by forwarding it to the services involved. However, the Committee may, in the report itself or in a separate notice, make the Storting aware that its duty to oversee public administration indicates that the Storting ought to familiarize itself with classified information pertaining to a matter or situation the Committee has investigated.

The Committee's annual report is reviewed by the Standing Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs, which will prepare a white paper to the Storting. This paper is later debated in a plenary session of the Storting.
