Den 9. og 10. November blei European Intelligence Oversight Conference arrangert i Oslo. Konferansen blei arrangert av EOS-utvalet i lag med danske Tilsynet med Efterretningstjenesterne (TET) og dei to svenske kontrollorgana Säkerhets- och integritetsskyddsnämnden (SIN) og Statens inspektion för försvarsunderrättelseverksamheten (Siun).
Konferansen har tidlegare blitt arrangert i Paris, Haag, Roma og London. EOS-kontrollorgan frå 16 land, pluss nokre deltakarar frå eksterne organisasjonar, var samla i Oslo i år.
I 2023 stod følgande tema på agendaen:
- How to plan your audit: An external point of view
- Disproportionate use of commercially and publicly available data: Europe’s next frontier for intelligence reform?
- In compliance with ECHR’s rulings in Big Brother Watch and Others and Centrum för rättvisa
- Technical foundation for effective oversight
- Accountability and Communication
